I believe in real food and how your body’s systems can benefit from being in balance. I struggled with my digestion since childhood; pain after eating, discomfort, and irregularity; contributing to irritability. Like so many people, I normalized these symptoms and many others. I thought that is how you felt after eating, and it was probably my fault because I ate too much. During my journey, through all the guessing and checking, one thing was consistent:
When I was more aware of how food was affecting my body, I could make conscious choices that made me feel BETTER.
Further into my journey, I found how sugar was an acting culprit. This was interesting to me, because I had already stayed away from so much added sugar that is present in the Standard American Diet. I discovered I could go further, make better choices, and pair my macronutrients better so my body could process my carbohydrates more efficiently.
This is why I chose to become a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP) and gain the knowledge to help others. I am certified through the Nutritional Therapy Association, which is recognized by the National Association of Nutrition Professionals (NANP). Additionally, I am a licensed instructor of The RESTART® Program.
My approach uses nutrient dense, whole foods based on an ancestral diet, and lifestyle habits to get to the root cause of your symptoms.
